Chuck Vermillion, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Chuck, a pioneer in the managed services industry, started his first managed service firm, OneNeck, in 1997. Under Chuck’s leadership as CEO, OneNeck became one of the most highly recognized firms in its space and grew to approximately $45 million in revenue and 220 employees. OneNeck was recognized in the “Visionaries” quadrant in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Oracle Outsourcing, North America. OneNeck was also ranked by “The Black Book of Outsourcing” as the #1 ERP Management provider, three consecutive years. In 2005, the firm was recapitalized with a strategic investment from WestView Capital Partners, a Boston based Private Equity firm. In 2011, after a successful six year run with WestView Chuck led the process resulting in a sale of OneNeck to TDS, a Fortune 500 company, for $95 million. Chuck remained the CEO for OneNeck for three years following the sale, departing in August 2014.
When Chuck formed AccountabilIT in August of 2016, he took two decades' worth of lessons learned in the managed services industry to help form a new hybrid type of provider: a combined managed service provider (MSP) and managed security services provider (MSSP). Chuck and his team believe that all companies deserve to have a robust solution to protect against the bad actors regardless of size of their revenues. As a result, the AccountabilIT team created a very sophisticated operations model around security which scales to companies of all sizes using common principles and technologies. Under Chuck’s leadership, AccountabilIT has become one of the top MSSPs globally, with 5 consecutive years’ recognition in the top 250 MSSPs worldwide by MSSPAlert.
Chuck's leadership, vision, and accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. In 2009, he was honored with the Governor's Celebration of Innovation Ed Denison Business Leader of the Year Award. In 2013, Chuck was in good company when the Phoenix Business Journal chose him as one of 15 Phoenix area-based Tech Titans. In 2010, Chuck was one of the top 15 finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2010, and more recently, he was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019. In 2022, Chuck was selected as one of the Phoenix Titan 100.
Chuck holds a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and is a CPA.
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Tobin, Chief Finance Officer
Michael Tobin is the Chief Financial Officer for AccountabilIT. Prior to his current position, he was the Chief Financial Officer for OneNeck IT Services Corporation from 2001 – 2013. Before the management-led buyout of OneNeck from SCB Computer Technology, Inc. in 2001, Michael held various positions in the company including Director of Consulting, Project Director, and Senior Manager in the Consulting Services division. He was a subject matter expert in Baan Finance and has advised several clients on configuring and implementing the Baan Finance module.
Prior to joining SCB, Michael was a manager for the consulting practice of Ernst and Young. His engagements at Ernst and Young included an ERP implementation at a $250 million worldwide advanced composite manufacturer, several performance improvement projects for a large airframe manufacturer, inventory and warehouse control process improvements for an aerospace manufacturer, and budget creation for a public transportation authority.
Prior to consulting, Michael was the Manager of Finance for McCulloch Corporation, a leading manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. In this role, Michael was responsible for managing the company’s consolidated financial statements, annual budgets, and variance reporting.
Michael has an MBA and a BSBA, Accounting and Finance from The University of Arizona.
Jim Hertle, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director GDC India Pvt, Ltd
With over 25 years of global leadership experience in IT Managed Services, Jim Hertle is a performance-driven leader. He has accomplished significant business transformation and technology enablement in driving growth and productivity improvements in both large and mid-sized enterprises. Jim has a demonstrated record of success in creating robust organizations, and a proven ability in organizations and technology to solve business issues while balancing costs and risks.
Jim’s dynamic career spans multiple technology industries; in addition to his robust IT Managed Services leadership experience, Jim also has significant experience in Semiconductor Engineering and Manufacturing with Motorola. Jim has successfully led Operations, Infrastructure, Engineering, Development, Consulting and Customer Support teams; in these roles he has consistently generated business value in complex and varied environments.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University, an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix and is Six Sigma certified.
Jim is also on the Board of Directors of 2 local charities, Arizona Amateur Hockey Association and Arizona High School Hockey Association.
Jackie Shipley has over 28 years' experience in the IT industry and is currently AccountabilIT’s Chief People Officer. She manages all aspects of human resources including benefit administration, payroll, recruitment, and employee relations. Prior to that, Jackie was the Vice President of Customer Management for OneNeck from 2014 to 2015 and was responsible for directing all aspects of customer interaction to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and revenue growth for the customer base. Before that role, Jackie was the Director of Customer Management from 2005 to 2014 and was a key part in the development of the Customer Management department, its philosophy and culture. Jackie spent 3 years at OneNeck following the sale to TDS to ensure a smooth transition. Prior to OneNeck, Jackie was the Director of Human Resources for SCB Computer Technology. Before that, she held various positions such as pre-sales, project administration and human resources within the Partners Group, which was eventually acquired by SCB Computer Technology.
Jackie holds a BS in Business from the WP Carey School of Business – Arizona State University.
Paul Zalewski is an IT professional with more than 30 years experience providing IT customer support solutions in a wide variety of business applications and infrastructure environments.
Since receiving a BS degree in Computer Science in 1979, He has continually been employed in a customer support role as an outsourcing or managed services delivery team member, first with the Sperry Corporation (Unisys), then with Boeing Information Services, SCB Computer Technology Company, OneNeck IT Solutions, and most recently as principle consultant with techZ Consulting. As a result of these experiences, Zalewski has developed a keen awareness of the principles and practices that contribute to world-class solution delivery and customer support, and demonstrates a special talent for contributing, building and maintaining world-class customer-focused technical support teams.
During his tenure as VP, Technology with OneNeck IT Solutions, Zalewski expanded his skill repertoire beyond legacy IT application and infrastructure environments to include significant experience with public, private, and hybrid multi-vendor cloud solution architecture, implementation, transition, and management in shared and dedicated customer deployments. Most recently as primary consultant with techZ Consulting, Zalewski has leveraged his industry expertise to provide tactical and strategic consulting to a fortune 500 global manufacturing company engaged in increasing the maturity level of their enterprise security implementation.
Suresh Ganapathiraman has over 35 years of experience in the IT industry, with extensive experience in ERP implementations, Project\Program management, Customer and Account management, and currently is Chief Customer Officer for AccountabilIT.
Prior to his current position, Suresh had lead responsibilities at SE Technologies from 1997 to 1999 and at OneNeck IT Solutions from 1999 to 2017. He has led many successful ERP Implementations, data center migrations, and infrastructure projects.
Suresh has proven leadership in managing customer enterprise application systems and infrastructure in a managed hosting services environment, Project\Program management, and Customer relationship management.
Suresh holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bangalore, India and an MBA from University of Phoenix, AZ.
Brian Lamberger is the Chief Revenue Officer for AccountabilIT. He is a technology services veteran with over 25 years of experience in consulting, cybersecurity, managed services, cloud and the complex/consultative sales process. Prior to his current position, Brian fulfilled multiple roles including National Sales Director for ERP Hosting and Managed Services, Director of Solution Sales, Regional Sales Director, Solution Sales Engineer and Systems Engineer. Brian feels very strongly that solutions should not only address technical needs but also individual/business problems. He strives to drive this philosophy into his sales and account management teams.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business from Western International University.
In his personal time, Brian likes to volunteer with his family at his church and various poverty alleviation organizations.
Clayton Mach, Senior Director of Security and Cloud Operations
Clayton is a 15-year leadership veteran in IT Managed Services. His diverse background includes IT audit, acquisition integration, project management, and solution design in addition to day-to-day technical management of systems and application administrators. He is passionate about delivering the highest quality of service to his customers and the professional development of his resources. Clayton led several initiatives to integrate the processes and toolsets of acquired support organizations which resulted significant savings and improvement of service delivery. He was responsible for creating business intelligence toolsets for analyzing the performance of Managed Services teams for use in the day-to-day management of the organization and proactive identification of customer risks. He has also been the process champion for development and adoption of support best practices within the ITIL framework and had responsibility for the development and deployment of business process applications that support those practices.
Clayton stayed with OneNeck for approximately 4 ½ years following the sale to TDS, and briefly worked with Valor IT, to establish their Service Desk for Managed Services prior to joining AccountabilIT.
John is Senior Director, Technology at AccountabilIT, an MSP/MSSP providing NOC & SOC services to organizations around the world. He's a certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, and MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
John co-authored the 4 books in the industry-standard reference series, System Center Operations Manager: Unleashed from Sams publishing. His fifth book 'Azure Arc-Enabled Kubernetes and Servers: Extending Hyperscale Cloud Management to Your Datacenter' was published in December 2021 by Apress.
Awarded Microsoft MVP for Cloud and Datacenter Management for 14 years (2007-2022). Actively developing modern management solutions using Azure Log Analytics, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps, Azure Front Door, Azure Arc, and Azure Lighthouse. Authority on System Center products in private cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
In his first career as a U.S. Navy computer scientist, John worked for NATO in Europe and aboard an aircraft carrier in the Pacific. His jobs included Chief of Network Operations for NATO southern region and national Network Security Officer for the Navy Bureau of Personnel.
Angie Harvey, Director of Security, Governance, and Compliance
With more than 18 years of experience in the information technology and services industry, Angie has a demonstrated history of strong operations professional skills in leadership, internal audit, software development, process efficiency, data analysis, acquisition integration, and customer relationship management. Since receiving a BS degree in Computer Business Information Systems, she has been in an information technology business support role. She has experience as a SQL and Oracle Database Administrator, Software Developer, Director of Integrations, Director of Operations, and Director of Security, Governance, and Compliance. With an acute sense of detail she has helped drive efficiency in processes, systems, and resources. During her tenure at ClearPointe, Angie successfully integrated two acquired businesses, systems, and resources as well as led the company to successful SOC2 Type II and PCI compliance. She then went on to lead the entire operations team as Director of Operations to promote a positive culture while delivering a superior customer experience. At AccountabilIT, Angie oversees all of the audit and compliance efforts as well as the overarching security training program that feeds into the yearly attestation requirements for the organization. She is responsible for the approval, management, and billing of all customer contracts and services. She also plays a pivotal role in the operational effort to minimize risk and increase efficiency through processes, procedures, and standardization.
