At this live virtual seminar, Andy Knauf, CIO of Mead and Hunt will present, in partnership with John Joyner, Microsoft Azure Hybrid MVP and Senior Director of Technology at AccountabilIT, a look at integrating Microsoft Security Tools from the angles of customer, CIO, solution architect, and service provider.
Mr. Knauf will discuss his decision process that led him to choose the Microsoft security stack for his organization’s security, overall, as well as CMMC 2.0 compliance. This interactive session will expand on how all of the Microsoft security products interact with Sentinel and one another to establish the best value and security posture possible in our environments. Mr. Joyner will demonstrate how Azure Arc can extend cloud management to your data center, the pioneering approach that he spearheaded that uses Azure Lighthouse to host all SIEM resources in the customer tenant, giving the customer ultimate control and ownership of their SIEM. He will also demonstrate the effectiveness of Microsoft Sentinel for hunting threats by creating total visibility across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Andy Knauf, Chief Information Officer, Mead & Hunt
Andy Knauf is a highly experienced professional who has spent the past 32 years working at Mead & Hunt, a leading engineering and architecture firm. Over the course of his career, he has held a variety of roles with increasing levels of responsibility, and currently serves as the company’s Chief Information Officer. As CIO, Andy is responsible for leading and strategizing all technology operations at Mead & Hunt, including innovation and cybersecurity. He also serves as a member of the company’s Executive Committee, which is responsible for making strategic decisions that guide the direction of the organization.
In addition to his work at Mead & Hunt, Mr. Knauf is heavily involved in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). He is a regular speaker at the organization’s spring and fall conferences, and also hosts an annual event at Mead & Hunt. These activities demonstrate his commitment to sharing his knowledge and expertise with others in the industry. He has a reputation for his ability to lead, innovate and inspire his team to be the best. He is also well known for his ability to manage and implement technology initiatives that drive business growth and improve efficiency.
John Joyner, Senior Director, Technology at AccountabilIT
John Joyner is a highly accomplished professional in the field of Azure solutions architecture and cybersecurity. He is a certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert and has been awarded the prestigious Microsoft MVP award for an impressive 15 consecutive years, from 2007 to 2023. This demonstrates his deep understanding and expertise in the field. He is currently actively developing modern management solutions using a variety of Azure tools and technologies, including Azure Log Analytics, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps, Azure Front Door, Azure Arc, and Azure Lighthouse.
Mr. Joyner is also a well-respected speaker in the industry, having been a featured in-person speaker at Microsoft Ignite 2022, where he presented on the topics of Azure Arc and Azure Monitor. In addition to his speaking engagements, Mr. Joyner is also a highly accomplished author, having co-authored the four books in the industry-standard reference series, System Center Operations Manager: Unleashed, published by Sams publishing. His fifth book, “Azure Arc-Enabled Kubernetes and Servers: Extending Hyperscale Cloud Management to Your Datacenter” was published in December 2021 by Apress. Mr. Joyner continues to be a leading expert in the field and an influential voice in the industry.
